Tokyo: The Malaysian Amateur Radio Transmitters’ Society (MARTS) has once again made history by sending an official delegation to participate in the Japan Amateur Radio League (JARL) Ham Fair 2025.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, MARTS President Mohd Aris Bernawi stated that the JARL Ham Fair, the largest amateur radio exhibition in Asia, is being held at the Ariake GYM-EX in Tokyo, starting today and ending tomorrow.
He emphasized that MARTS’s involvement in the exhibition underscores its significant role in the international amateur radio community, aligning with MARTS’s slogan of “providing service through radio.” The delegation comprises seven amateur radio operators from Malaysia, aiming to strengthen the relationship between the Malaysian and Japanese amateur radio communities and expand international cooperation networks in radio communication.
The participation also allows MARTS to introduce the latest activities and developments of the Malaysian amateur radio community and exchange technical experiences with radio enthusiasts globally. The Japan Ham Fair Festival, held 47 times since its inception in 1978, is the only major amateur radio exhibition in Asia. MARTS first participated in the event in 2017, joining radio clubs from approximately 158 countries under the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU).
