Marhamah Rosli Sets Sights on Empowering Muslim Women and Enhancing Religious Institutions

Kuala lumpur: Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Marhamah Rosli is determined to leverage her expertise in welfare and community work to fortify religious institutions and empower Muslim women under the MADANI Government. Marhamah's appointment follows a recent Cabinet reshuffle, marking a significant responsibility she is fully committed to.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Marhamah emphasized the importance of making religious affairs more accessible to the public. She expressed her focus on integrating religion into everyday life, ensuring that it is perceived as an inherent part of personal experiences and challenges, rather than something punitive. Marhamah voiced these intentions during a meeting where she shared her vision of religion being a supportive element in daily life.

The recent Cabinet reshuffle saw seven ministers, including two new appointees, and eight newly appointed deputy ministers, such as Marhamah, taking their oath of office before His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia at Istana Negara. Marhamah conveyed her gratitude to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the trust placed in her new role.

Marhamah pledged to fulfill her duties with dedication, seeking support from all quarters to foster the development of Islamic institutions in Malaysia. She expressed her hopes to utilize her capabilities fully in service of society, religion, and the nation, voicing her commitment to the responsibilities bestowed upon her.
