Man’s Body Snatched By Crocodile Found In Sadong Jaya

Sadong jaya: A man who was reported missing after being attacked by a crocodile while fishing for prawns under the Sungai Buloh bridge in Sadong Jaya, about 40 kilometres from here, yesterday was found dead.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Operations Centre of the Sarawak Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) identified the victim as Mohd Faizal Abdillah, 29, from Kampung Rangawan. He was found at 2.22 pm not far from the Fire Control Post (PKB).

The Operations Centre reported that the victim was brought to the PKB by fishermen, and upon arrival at the post, identification was made by family members. The victim was found in good condition except for bite marks on his abdomen.

A statement from the operations centre indicated that the victim's body was then taken to the Sarawak General Hospital (HUS) for further action.

Media reports highlighted that the operations centre received a report about the victim's disappearance after he was attacked by a crocodile while wading in a waist-deep river the previous afternoon. The search and rescue operation for the victim was actively conducted using surface water search techniques involving the police, fire department, RELA, and fishermen's associations comprising residents from the surrounding areas.
