Kampung kandek: A man is suspected to be missing after not returning to his home in Kampung Kandek, Dabong here since Monday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dabong Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) chief Senior Fire Officer II Zaimi Samat reported receiving a notification regarding the disappearance of Muhd Saifuan Che Mood, 38, at 9:54 am today.

He stated that the information came from the victim's brother, who reported that Muhd Saifuan has not been home since approximately 11:30 pm on February 16. In response, eight members of the Dabong BBP were deployed with two vehicles to the location of his usual route, located nine kilometers from the BBP, at 10:05 am.

"The fire department followed the route that was believed to have been taken by the victim, and the search was also conducted together with the villagers," Zaimi Samat added in a statement. He mentioned that the search operation has covered a three-kilometer radius so far and will be expanded further with the assistance of the K9 Unit.

Kuala Krai district deputy police chief DSP Mohd Maizan Mustaffa confirmed the receipt of a report about Muhd Saifuan's disappearance and stated that an active search operation is ongoing.
