Kampung Jelapang: A 50-year-old man suffered injuries to his right arm and left fingers following a crocodile attack while casting a net in a lake located in Kampung Jelapang. The incident took place yesterday at approximately 5.30 pm.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Setiu police chief Supt Mohd Zain Mat Deris reported that the victim, a local resident, was engaged in casting nets alongside two family members when the unexpected attack occurred. Despite the attack, the victim remained conscious and was subsequently transported to Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital in Kuala Terengganu for medical treatment.

Personnel from the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan), aided by local villagers, managed to capture the crocodile on the same day.
