Man High On Drugs Extends Leg Under Moving Lorry

Bangi: A man believed to be under the influence of drugs deliberately extended his leg under a moving lorry at a traffic light near Jalan Pekan Bangi Lama, Bangi, yesterday. Kajang district police chief Naazron Abdul Yusof said the 43-year-old will be arrested for his reckless act after he finishes being treated for drug use at the hospital.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the incident occurred at 10.45 am when the complainant, who was driving a lorry, noticed the suspect standing by the roadside next to his motorcycle. The suspect suddenly extended his leg towards the rear right tyre of the lorry. Upon inspecting the situation, the lorry driver found the suspect disoriented. The act was recorded on the complainant’s dashcam, prompting a police report at 4.48 pm on the same day.

Police investigations revealed that the suspect has 19 prior drug-related offences and two criminal records. The case is being investigated under Section 336 of the Penal Code. Authorities have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward to the nearest police station or contact Investigating Officer Insp Muhammad Nazirulzahin Mohd Hashim at 017-8881475.

A video of the incident, lasting 1 minute and 15 seconds, went viral, showing the man extending his leg towards the moving lorry and subsequently clutching his leg in pain. He later received assistance from other road users.
