A local man, believed to be in his 30s, was discovered dead inside a Proton Wira that was parked by the roadside at Simpang 3 Tawar, close to a Chinese cemetery. The discovery was made yesterday morning.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Baling police chief Supt Brandon Richard Joe reported that police received a call about an unconscious man inside a car at 11.35 am. Upon arrival, authorities found the vehicle locked with a deceased man inside. The Fire and Rescue Department was called to unlock the car and remove the body, while a forensic team from the Kedah contingent police headquarters carried out an inspection at the location.

Supt Brandon Richard Joe added that the man had a history of 20 criminal and narcotics-related offences. The Proton Wira was reported stolen in Pendang. The body of the deceased was sent to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar for a post-mortem examination. The case is currently classified as a sudden death repor t.
