Man Found Dead After Motorcycle Plunges Into Stream Near Batu Kurau

Kuala lumpur: A man was found dead in a stream near his orchard at Lata Telaga 7, Kampung Repoh, near Batu Kurau.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) acting operations chief Shazlean Mohd Hanafiah reported that the department received a distress call about the incident at 3.05 pm. Consequently, a team from the Batu Kurau Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) was dispatched to the scene.

Shazlean stated that the police sought assistance from JBPM to retrieve the victim, who is believed to be in his 50s, from the stream. The victim reportedly lost control of his motorcycle while traveling along a hillside trail, leading to the plunge into the stream near his orchard.

The JBPM team faced challenges in reaching the location, which was about one kilometre from the main road, due to narrow access. They had to employ a utility vehicle to navigate the difficult terrain.

Once the investigation was completed, the victim’s body was retrieved from the stream and handed over to the police for further action. The entire operation concluded at 6.45 pm.
