Kota damansara: A 54-year-old man lost his life in a fire that engulfed a double-storey semi-detached house on Jalan Kenyalang 11/6B, Kota Damansara, Selangor.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (Operations) assistant director, Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, reported that an emergency call was received at 9.09 am regarding the incident. Upon the team's arrival, they found the house approximately 40 percent burned. The victim was discovered unconscious on the balcony at 9.30 am.
The Ministry of Health medical officers confirmed the man's death at 11.15 am, and the body has been handed over to the police for further actions. The fire was brought under control by 9.45 am. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire and assess the total losses incurred.
The operation included 17 personnel and fire engines from the Sungai Buloh Fire and Rescue Station (BBP), with additional support from the Damansara BBP.
