Man and Son Injured in Klang Terrace House Blaze

Klang: A man suffered burns to his head and wrists, while his son experienced shortness of breath after a fire broke out in their two-storey terrace house at Taman Seri Istana Hills, Klang, early this morning.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director, Ashrul Riezal Asbar, reported that about 70 per cent of the house was destroyed in the incident that occurred around 5.23 am. Upon receiving an emergency call, a team from the Klang Selatan Fire and Rescue Station, aided by personnel from the Klang Utara station, was dispatched to the scene.

Ashrul Riezal stated that 13 personnel, two Fire Rescue Tender engines, and an Emergency Medical Rescue Service vehicle were involved in the operation to control the fire. The blaze was successfully brought under control by 5.47 am. The victims, a 57-year-old man with approximately 10 per cent burns and his 28-year-old son who suffered from shortness of breath, managed to escape the house before the fire spread further.

Both individuals received initial treatment from the Emergency Medical Rescue Services team and were subsequently transported to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital for additional care. The extinguishing operation concluded at 7.50 am.
