Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s official visits to Italy, France, and Brazil have significantly bolstered Malaysia’s reputation as a strategic trade partner, paving the way for new global markets and investment opportunities.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar highlighted in a post on X that these high-quality investments not only fortify Malaysia’s economic foundation but also hold the promise of generating high-value employment opportunities for its citizens. During Malaysia’s participation in the BRICS summit, the country reiterated its commitment to fair and equitable global cooperation, underpinned by the principle of universal peace.
Anwar emphasized that Malaysia’s involvement in the summit has opened doors for local companies to access new markets and strengthened the nation’s position within the challenging and dynamic global economic landscape. The Prime Minister noted that the visits reinforced Malaysia’s close and mutually beneficial bilateral ties with strategic partners across Europe, Latin America, and BRICS member countries, while also advancing the country’s role in promoting the development agenda of the Global South.
