Kuala lumpur: Guided by national interests, Malaysia is aggressively exploring new market and trade opportunities while maintaining its strong relationships with the United States and China, according to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The prime minister emphasized that this strategy aims to create more job opportunities for Malaysians and enhance the nation's economic growth.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the prime minister highlighted Malaysia's recent engagements with South Africa and Brazil, resulting in promising new ventures, including significant oil investments in Brazil and Peru. Anwar stressed the importance of economic fundamentals in navigating various issues, underscoring the nation's focus on economic stability and growth.
Anwar, who also serves as the Finance Minister, addressed these points while responding to student inquiries about Malaysia's diplomatic stance with the US and China during the "Meet Anwar" program at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT). The event was attended by key government ministers and more than 1,600 university students and staff.
The prime minister assured that Malaysia is adeptly managing its bilateral relations with both the US and China. He conveyed that Malaysia's relationship with China is strong and that China remains an important neighboring country. Similarly, Malaysia maintains a crucial trade relationship with the US, which is essential for the country's economic health.
Anwar further noted that the MADANI government's policies are crafted with a focus on fostering national unity and advancing economic progress, reflecting Malaysia's commitment to balancing international relations with domestic priorities.
