Kuala lumpur: Malaysia continues to be a global reference in Islamic practices, including the management of religious affairs and haj, says Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Zulkifli Hasan. He emphasized Malaysia's strong Islamic governance, which has positioned the country as a model for many nations despite the global challenges and discrimination faced by Islam.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Zulkifli made these remarks while officiating the Multaqa Petugas Jemaah dan Agensi 2026, a gathering organized by the Muslim Youth Movement of Malaysia (ABIM) that involved officers and agencies responsible for managing pilgrims. He highlighted Malaysia's role in setting global benchmarks for Islamic practices and religious affairs management.

Zulkifli also addressed the increasingly complex and uncertain global challenges, underscoring the need for new approaches and thinking to maintain the relevance and leadership of Islamic institutions and movements. He urged all parties to avoid complacency and instead focus on innovation, quality, professionalism, precision, and diligence, aligning with the concept of Itqan to enhance public service delivery.
