Chennai: Malaysia's involvement in international arts platforms, such as the Edison Awards, which honor excellence in Tamil Nadu's film industry, plays a vital role in enhancing cultural networks, promoting the country's rich diversity, and bolstering people-to-people diplomacy through the arts and creative sectors. Deputy National Unity Minister R. Yuneswaran emphasized the significance of such prestigious platforms in fostering collaboration between Malaysia and Tamil Nadu in filmmaking, arts, creative content, and entertainment industries.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Yuneswaran highlighted the positive impact of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture's (MOTAC) participation as a supporting partner of the Edison Awards 2026.
