According to BERNAMA News Agency, the mixed doubles category saw the unseeded Malaysian pair Jimmy Wong-Cheng Su Yin's impressive run halted by the experienced Hong Kong duo, Tang Chun Man-Tse Ying Suet. The Malaysians were defeated 17-21, 21-18, 21-15 in a challenging 69-minute match. Despite the loss, the pair demonstrated their ability to compete with the world's top ten pairs, showcasing remarkable prowess throughout the championship. Meanwhile, in the men's doubles, Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin faced the formidable world number one pair Kim Won Ho-Seo Seung Jae of South Korea. The Malaysians fought tenaciously during the 58-minute match. Though they struggled initially, losing the first game 12-21, they mounted a strong comeback to claim the second game 21-11, pushing the match to a decisive t hird game. Unfortunately, the South Koreans secured victory with a 21-13 win. This encounter marks the Malaysians' third loss in five meetings against Kim Won Ho-Seo Seung Jae.
