Malaysia-Turkmenistan Collaboration Goes Beyond Mere Commercial Interest – PM Anwar

Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that the agreement signed between Malaysia and Turkmenistan signifies a mutual commitment to long-term cooperation extending beyond mere commercial interests.

The cooperation extends to educational and technological exchanges, involving universities, research facilities, and expertise in emerging technologies such as AI and semiconductors. This initiative is aimed at benefiting young professionals from both countries and serves as a model of cooperation for the Global South.

During the event, three agreements were signed between Petronas and Turkmenistan, along with a Framework Agreement between the Governments of Malaysia and Turkmenistan focusing on the long-term development of Turkmenistan's hydrocarbon resources.
