Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia ‘strongly condemns’ Israel’s airstrikes and artillery attacks against Gaza earlier today, unilaterally ending the ceasefire agreement, according to a statement issued by the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (March 18).
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the attacks killed more than 300 people in that Palestinian territory. This latest wave of attacks by the Israeli Zionist regime also targeted Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen, resulting in casualties and injuries among civilians, including children and aid workers.
Wisma Putra described the aggression by Israel as an indication that the regime has no interest in peace with its neighbors. It accused the Israeli regime of violating international law, United Nations (UN) resolutions, and ongoing peace efforts.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, widely known as Wisma Putra, stated that the continuing indiscriminate murder of civilians, including children, women, and humanitarian aid workers, constitutes war crimes, genocide, and ethnic cleansing.
The statement further emphasized that Israel’s acts of aggression against sovereign nations are a threat to global peace and security. Malaysia urged the international community and the Security Council to protect civilians and end this impunity by holding Israel fully accountable for its persistent violations of international law.
