Malaysia: Malaysia's participation at the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) 2026 has generated RM791.54 million (US$192.36 million) in export sales following five days of intensive business engagements in the United Kingdom from July 20-24, 2026.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), in collaboration with the National Aerospace Industry Corporation Malaysia (NAICO), coordinated the Malaysia pavilion which facilitated 148 business meetings between Malaysian companies and international aerospace stakeholders. In a statement, MATRADE emphasized that this success reaffirms Malaysia's growing competitiveness as a trusted aerospace manufacturing and supply chain partner.

The Malaysia pavilion featured 15 Malaysian exhibitors, along with Invest Selangor Bhd and the Malaysia Aerospace Industry Association. MATRADE highlighted that the business opportunities secured during the exhibition reflect strong global demand across high-value segments, further strengthening Malaysia's integration into the global aerospace value chain.

MATRADE chief executive officer Datuk Abu Bakar Yusof noted that Malaysia's aerospace industry generated RM32.5 billion in revenue in 2025, with exports contributing RM7.95 billion or 24.5 percent of the industry's total revenue. He remarked that as Malaysia works towards achieving the Malaysia Aerospace Industry Blueprint 2030 target of RM55.2 billion in industry revenue, expanding high-value exports will be a key growth driver alongside domestic aerospace manufacturing, maintenance, repair and overhaul, systems integration, and engineering services.

Malaysia's growing industrial capabilities were also recognized internationally during the exhibition, with CTRM Aero Composites Sdn Bhd being honoured with the 2026 Asia Best Maturity Award at the Aero Excellence International Best Maturity Awards.
