Kuala lumpur: Malaysia needs a fair and comprehensive legal framework capable of addressing the demands and challenges of the digital era, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. He emphasized the importance of developing legislation that can effectively respond to the evolving cyber environment.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, several technical aspects of legislation were discussed at a Special Cybercrime Meeting chaired by Anwar. The meeting focused on strengthening the enforcement of cyber laws to ensure they are more effective and comprehensive.

Anwar highlighted the significance of this issue in a Facebook post, noting that the cyber environment now impacts nearly every aspect of life, both in the present and future. He stressed the necessity for serious attention to be given to the development of robust legal frameworks in order to address these challenges effectively.
