Malaysia Eyes RM13 Billion in Trade and 1.5 Million Visitors Through World Expo 2025 Osaka Participation.


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia aims to attract 1.5 million visitors and generate RM13 billion in trade and investment through its participation in the Malaysia Pavilion at the Osaka World Expo next year. Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz stated that this initiative is not only a mission of the Ministry but also a national mission poised to bring significant benefits to the country.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, during a recent visit to Osaka, Japan, following the Prime Minister’s official visit to Seoul, South Korea, Tengku Zafrul inspected the Malaysia Pavilion on Yumeshima Island, which is the venue for the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. He reported that the construction of the pavilion has now reached 73.91 per cent completion. The pavilion is designed to highlight Malaysia’s heritage, commitment to sustainability, and spirit of innovation under the theme ‘Weaving a Future in Harmony’.

etween tradition and technology and will be one of the main attractions at the Expo. He expressed confidence that it will captivate millions of visitors and introduce Malaysia’s unique strengths and offerings to a global audience.

The World Expo 2025 is scheduled to be held in Osaka, Japan, from April 13 to October 13, 2025, spanning a total of six months.
