Malaysia Extends Sympathy to UAE Amid Middle East Tensions

Abu dhabi: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended Malaysia's sympathy and support to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) amidst a tense situation in the Middle East, following Iran's reaction to attacks by Israel and the United States. This expression of solidarity was conveyed during a phone call with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Both leaders discussed the evolving situation in the Middle East, focusing on regional security concerns linked to the conflict involving Israel, the US, and Iran.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar Ibrahim emphasized the mutual hope that all involved parties would engage in peaceful dialogue and avoid actions that could endanger regional and global stability. He also appreciated the UAE's efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of approximately 10,000 Malaysians living in the UAE.

Anwar also expressed his hope that the holy month of Ramadan would enhance unity within the Muslim community and contribute to lasting peace and stability in the region and beyond.
