Kuala lumpur: Malaysia and Ethiopia have taken significant steps to enhance their bilateral relations through the exchange of several critical documents in various strategic domains, announced Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. This move underscores both nations’ commitment to establishing a structured, inclusive, and competitive framework aimed at fostering progress that will benefit the citizens of both countries.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali jointly oversaw the exchange of pivotal documents, which include an air services agreement and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on health cooperation. These agreements signify a concerted effort to fortify collaboration between Malaysia and Ethiopia across multiple strategic areas.
The exchanged documents also encompass an MoU on tourism, a cooperation agreement between Kuala Lumpur City Hall and Addis Ababa City, and an announcement regarding the exchange of notes to facilitate regular bilateral consultations. At a joint press conference, both leaders reiterated their commitment to deepening Malaysia-Ethiopia relations in all dimensions, grounded in genuine friendship and mutual trust.
Prime Minister Anwar emphasized their shared dedication to ensuring that all forms of cooperation are conducted smoothly and systematically, delivering tangible benefits to the population at large.
