Kuala lumpur: Malaysia is entering a new phase of economy based on high technology, semiconductors, innovation, and artificial intelligence (AI), said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. However, he stressed that the MADANI Government will continue to ensure that every development project brings fair and equitable benefits to the people, safeguards the interests of local communities, and strengthens the country's competitiveness.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar emphasized that Malaysia is stepping into a new phase of economy focused on high technology, semiconductors, innovation, and artificial intelligence. Despite the technological advancements, the priority remains on human development to cultivate a generation with skills, expertise, values, kindness, and responsibility to build a prosperous and resilient society.
Anwar, who also serves as the Finance Minister, highlighted that meaningful development is not just about increasing investment figures or accelerating growth but ensuring that the benefits of progress are experienced by all levels of society. He pointed to the Setia Fontaines Industrial Park project in Kepala Batas, Penang, as a significant initiative that will ensure quality job opportunities, expand skills training, and promote development in regions that have not yet experienced growth on par with others.
SP Setia Bhd has achieved a milestone with the development of the Setia Fontaines Industrial Park in Bertam. This project covers an area of 509 acres and is part of the larger Setia Fontaines development, which spans 1,691 acres. It offers light industrial, medium industrial, and commercial lots for small and medium enterprises and multinational companies, contributing to Malaysia's economic transformation.
