Malaysia Brand Day 2026 Set To Showcase Homegrown Brands

Kuala lumpur: The inaugural Malaysia Brand Day 2026 is poised to be a key platform for attracting foreign investors and facilitating funding opportunities for Malaysian homegrown brands, said its organiser Brand Day (M) Sdn Bhd. Brand Day’s director Carrie Ee said the event will bring together international investors and buyers to support business expansion and export readiness, positioning Malaysian brands for growth beyond the local market.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ee emphasized the importance of uniting the brand ecosystem to provide a platform for Malaysian companies to gain recognition. She stated that the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) is supporting the event by bringing in 20 premium buyers from ASEAN and China for investment and export matching.

Ee highlighted the event’s objective to assist homegrown brands interested in expanding beyond Malaysia, specifically targeting markets in China, Thailand, and Indonesia, with MATRADE facilitating connections with ASEAN and China buyers. She also noted the event’s focus on creating opportunities for investors to engage with young SME entrepreneurs who are developing scalable Malaysian products.

The Malaysia Brand Day exhibition is scheduled to take place from January 8-10, 2026, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. It will feature homegrown brands across 16 industries, including Zus Coffee, A Cut Above, Applecrumby, Carlo Rino, and Ogawa, among others. This initiative, proposed by the Branding Association of Malaysia, aims to celebrate and elevate Malaysian brands both locally and internationally.
