Malaysia and Hong Kong Explore Enhanced Cargo Connectivity

Kuala lumpur: Malaysia and Hong Kong are exploring the potential for enhanced cargo connectivity between Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and Hong Kong International Airport. This initiative is guided by a twin-hub model, according to Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Transport Minister Anthony Loke highlighted this focus during a luncheon meeting with Hong Kong’s Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Mabel Chan. The discussions centered on strengthening cooperation in key sectors such as aviation and maritime.

Loke mentioned the productive exchange on strengthening ties between Malaysia and Hong Kong. He also shared Malaysia’s experience in regulating the e-hailing industry, a topic currently under debate in Hong Kong’s Legislative Council.

The meeting served as a platform for dialogue, with Loke expressing his anticipation of further advancing collaboration between the two economies.
