Malaysia Among World’s Most Peaceful Countries – PM Anwar

Kuala lumpur: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Malaysia remains one of the most peaceful countries in the world despite its complex racial, religious, and regional diversity. He emphasized that the country’s ability to manage this diversity has strengthened international confidence and positioned Malaysia as a stabilizing force in the region.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Prime Minister made these remarks during his speech at the Christmas High-Tea reception organized by the Christian Federation of Malaysia (CFM). The event, which was held in Kuala Lumpur, was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusoff among others.

Anwar highlighted that Malaysia’s peaceful record is a key reason the country continues to be viewed positively by its neighbors and the wider international community. He noted that this reputation is reflected in the trust placed by regional and international leaders in Malaysia’s role in easing conflicts and promoting dialogue.

The Prime Minister mentioned that Malaysia’s peaceful standing has led to friendly neighbors, including Cambodia and Thailand, placing their trust in the country to facilitate dialogue and ease regional tensions. The event was enlivened by several performances and drew about 800 guests from the Christian community.
