Kuala lumpur: The composed Malaysian junior badminton squad gave their all to maintain their excellent run at the World Junior Mixed Team Championships 2025 by defeating Australia 2-0 in their final Group C match in Guwahati, India, today. The victory, secured with scores of 45-35, 45-14 at the National Centre of Excellence under the tournament’s new best-of-three format with each set played to 45 points have confirmed Malaysia’s place in the quarter-finals.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian juniors march into the quarter-finals as Group C winners and will face China tomorrow, as announced by the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) on its official Facebook page. Only the group winners qualify for the quarter-finals.
In the previous edition held in Nanchang, China, Malaysia concluded their campaign with a bronze medal after bowing out to the hosts in the semi-finals.
