Make Al-Falah Mosque, Sri Maha Kaliamman Temple An Example – Sultan Nazrin

Putra Heights: The Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin today emphasized the exemplary actions of leaders from the Al-Falah Mosque Subang Jaya and the Sri Maha Kaliamman Temple on Jalan Putra Harmoni, who provided assistance to victims of a gas pipeline fire in Putera Heights without regard to racial or religious differences.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Sultan Nazrin highlighted that these actions symbolize the true spirit of harmony and coexistence among Malaysians, free from divisive political influences. He praised the leaders for opening their doors to victims and workers, offering refuge to all, and accommodating Muslims for prayers within the temple premises.

Delivering his royal address during the opening of the Third Session of the 15th Perak State Legislative Assembly at the Perak Darul Ridzuan Building, Sultan Nazrin also addressed the controversy over the relocation of the Dewi Sri Pathrakaliaman Temple in Kuala Lumpur, which was to make way for a mosque. He expressed concern that such issues are being politicized, leading to public unrest and propagating a politics of hatred.

Highlighting the discovery of an illegal e-waste processing factory in Sungai Siput, Sultan Nazrin called for stronger monitoring and enforcement by authorities. He questioned how such a large operation could exist undetected and emphasized that unauthorized e-waste processing is a criminal act driven by profit at the expense of the environment.

Furthermore, Sultan Nazrin commended the progress in eradicating hardcore poverty in the state, noting that 8,986 household heads have been lifted out of poverty through effective welfare programs. He praised initiatives like the State Social Welfare One Stop Centre Programme, which has streamlined aid services across districts, thereby empowering communities and facilitating access to necessary support.
