MAIWP Bowling Event Aims to Strengthen Media Ties

Kuala lumpur: The Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) has organised the MAIWP Bowling Recreational Programme with the Media 2026 to strengthen its network of collaboration and appreciate the support of media partners. MAIWP in a statement announced that the programme was held to recognise the role of the media in delivering accurate information and highlighting various welfare, education and socio-economic development initiatives for the benefit of Muslims in the Federal Territory.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the event was designed as a relaxed setting to foster stronger cooperation networks and build closer relationships between MAIWP and its media partners along with related agencies. "The strategic relationship that has been established is hoped to continue to be strengthened to ensure that information on the agency's various initiatives can be conveyed to the public more widely and effectively," the statement said.

The programme took place at Juara Bowling Alley, Strand Mall, and saw participation from representatives of various media organisations including Bernama, IKIMfm, Malaysia Gazette, Berita Harian, New Straits Times (NST), Media Prima Omnia Sdn Bhd, Utusan Malaysia, Harian Metro, TV AlHijrah, BPP RTM, and Siakap Keli. Also in attendance were representatives of subsidiaries under MAIWP and the head of the Corporate Communications Unit of the agency under the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs).
