MAINS Corporation Sees Revenue Boost, Eyes Future Growth

Seremban: The Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, announced that the Negeri Sembilan Islamic Religious Council (MAINS) Corporation has experienced an increase in annual income since its inception in 2021. This development underscores the strategic decision to establish the agency, aligning with the goal to enhance the economic standing of Muslims in Negeri Sembilan.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tuanku Muhriz emphasized that MAINS Corporation has been successful due to effective planning and implementation of various initiatives aimed at expanding economic resources and strengthening the organization’s revenue. These remarks were made following the 2024 Negeri Sembilan Islamic Affairs Briefing given by MAINS chairman Datuk Seri Dr Abdul Aziz Sheikh Abdul Kadir.

Tuanku Muhriz further highlighted the importance of adhering to the principles of Maqasid Syariah in policy-making and the execution of religious programs in the state. He emphasized that any planning and actions should benefit the community, ensure well-being, and prevent harm.

During the briefing, Abdul Aziz reported that as of April, MAINS Corporation’s estimated income stands at RM6.1 million. He projected a potential income of RM19.8 million by the end of the year, surpassing the RM17.9 million achieved last year and RM14.4 million in 2023. For the next year, he set an income target of RM24.5 million, driven by building rentals, land leases, and property development.

Abdul Aziz outlined future projects under MAINS Corporation, including the construction of 31 shop lots in Batu 10 Pekan Labu, Nilai, and the development of Sekolah Menengah Agama Johol, Kuala Pilah. Other planned initiatives include freshwater aquaculture projects in Kampung Sentosa, Paroi, and the Kg Legong Jaya Rembau People’s Income Initiative-Agro-Entrepreneur Initiative (PR-Intan) Project.
