Alor setar: The Muda Agricultural Development Authority (MADA) is committed to ensuring that every farmer in its area receives fertiliser according to the paddy crop's growth stages to ensure optimum productivity and yields.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MADA's Corporate Communications branch stated that for the early and mid-growth stages of the rice crop, supplies of compound fertiliser (Padi 1) and 46 per cent nitrogen urea fertiliser had been fully received at the MADA level, with the distribution process proceeding smoothly.

The supply of Padi 1 has been fully received at 100 per cent, totalling 1,105,873 bags, and the distribution directly to farmers in all areas has been completed. As for the 46 per cent nitrogen urea fertiliser, 100 per cent of the supply, totalling 413,777 bags, has also been received, with 91 per cent or 374,576 bags already distributed to farmers, while the remaining supplies are being actively distributed according to schedule.

MADA acknowledged the status of the Additional NPK Fertiliser (Padi 3) supply, which had experienced a slight delay. However, to minimise the impact on farmers, MADA had directly distributed 122,360 bags to farmers based on area priorities.

MADA is currently engaging intensively with the relevant supplier to ensure that the remaining Padi 3 supplies can be fulfilled and delivered to MADA areas as soon as possible. MADA will continue to closely monitor distribution performance at all Area Farmers' Organisations (PPK) and urges farmers to remain in contact with MADA officers at the PPKs for the latest information on Padi 3 distribution.
