LYC Healthcare Bhd Faces Potential Trading Suspension Over Annual Report Delay

Kuala lumpur: LYC Healthcare Bhd (LYC) faces a possible trading suspension after the company failed to submit its annual report that includes the annual audited financial statements together with the auditors' and directors' reports for the financial year ended March 31, 2026.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Bursa Malaysia Securities stated that the company did not submit the report within the July 31, 2026 deadline, as required under ACE Market listing requirements. The listing requirements indicate that if a listed issuer fails to issue the outstanding financial statements within five market days after the expiry of the relevant timeframes, Bursa Securities will suspend the trading in the securities of the listed corporation.

The suspension will take effect on the next market day following the suspension deadline. If LYC is unable to submit the outstanding 2026 annual report on or before August 7, 2026, trading in the company's securities will be suspended from 9.00 am on Monday, August 10, 2026, until further notice, as stated in a stock exchange filing.

Bursa Securities further noted that failure to issue the outstanding financial statements within six months from the expiry of the relevant timeframes would lead to potential de-listing procedures against the corporation, in addition to any enforcement action that may be taken.

On July 28, LYC announced the potential delay in issuing its 2026 annual report, citing the need for additional time to collaborate with new external auditors, SBY Partners PLT, to finalize the audit. The company aims to issue and submit the report by August 7, 2026. The delay in appointing SBY Partners PLT as new auditors on March 6, 2026, followed Crowe Malaysia PLT's resignation on February 26, 2026, due to a disagreement over audit fees.
