Kota Kinabalu: The allocation for Sabah Governor Tun Musa Aman’s official birthday celebration on Tuesday (March 25) was 30 per cent lower than last year. The event’s main organising committee chairman, Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam, said the number of events was also reduced from 12 to only seven this year.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Joachim stated that all seven events organised are the usual ones held in conjunction with the official birthday celebration of the Governor, just like in previous years. He mentioned in a statement that the celebration will also be held within a month in June instead of spanning three months.

He further added that, based on the decision of the Sabah Cabinet, official programmes for Musa’s birthday celebration this year will be held on June 21. Joachim expressed hope that this explanation is clear and that these events will not be misinterpreted.
