Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has announced a Level One (Yellow) heatwave status for specific regions within Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah. This alert is in effect as of 4 pm today, marking a significant weather development for the country.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the affected areas in Peninsular Malaysia include Jeli and Kuala Krai in Kelantan, along with Jerantut and Maran in Pahang. In Sabah, the district of Telupid is experiencing similar conditions. The Level One heatwave status is designated when a region records a maximum daily temperature ranging from 35 to 37 degrees Celsius over a period of at least three consecutive days.
