Lembah pantai: The Deepavali Light Fiesta celebration in the Lembah Pantai parliamentary constituency was held in high spirits, with strong community participation reflecting harmony and mutual understanding.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said this year’s celebration was special as, for the first time, more than 1,100 families received vouchers to purchase essential items. Fahmi emphasized that festive celebrations held peacefully and harmoniously provide an opportunity to strengthen friendship and foster unity among the community. He expressed gratitude for the harmonious environment in Malaysia, highlighting the unique blessing of living in such a diverse nation.

Fahmi, who is also Lembah Pantai MP, noted that Malaysia’s multiracial and multicultural society, particularly in Lembah Pantai, served as a source of strength. This diversity enables various festivities, including Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, and Christmas, to be celebrated in a spirit of harmony. The event, held at IWK Eco Park @ Pantai Dalam, showcased traditional Indian delicacies and featured dance performances from The Dream Catcher, a group of youths from the Lembah Pantai area.
