Daro: The large-scale onion planting programme recorded production of more than 54 metric tonnes last year, said Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu. He stated that the programme, which covered 157 hectares, involved 125 local growers.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu highlighted that the success of the programme was due to structured planning, diligent efforts on the ground, and the dedication of all parties involved. He expressed hope that this achievement in 2025 would act as a catalyst for future advancements that benefit both the people and the nation, sharing his thoughts in a Facebook post today.

Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu further emphasized the programme's key impacts, which include an increase in domestic production capacity, a reduction in reliance on imports, and the strengthening of the national supply chain.
