Kuala Lumpur: Lantronix Inc, a global provider of compute and connectivity solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT), has announced a collaboration with Aerora to deliver Edge artificial intelligence (AI)-driven solutions aimed at advancing drone, robotics, and surveillance technologies. Lantronix chief executive officer and president, Saleel Awsare, stated that the partnership is expected to accelerate the development of intelligent applications by equipping developers with advanced embedded compute technologies. “This breakthrough in advanced AI-driven solutions delivers a transformative impact, opening doors to new opportunities in both private and government sectors,” he said in a statement.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Aerora’s chief technology officer, Ghel Ghedh, emphasized that the collaboration with Lantronix and Qualcomm enables rapid integration of flexible, sensor-rich solutions. “Our mission is to help OEMs reduce development timelines, scale manufacturing, and expand operational capabilities with NDAA-compliant technologies,” he stated.
The global drone market, projected to reach US$163.6 billion by 2030 with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15 percent, is driven by increasing applications in logistics, agriculture, infrastructure, and public safety, according to Grandview Research.
Aerora’s solution integrates the Teledyne FLIR Hadron 640R module and Prism software, enabling advanced thermal and Red, Green, and Blue (RGB) imaging capabilities. The platform offers simultaneous 4K video streaming and high-resolution thermal imaging. Its full-stack system features pre-integrated components including a camera, gimbal, gimbal motors, housing, telemetry, and interface, helping drone original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to meet stringent imaging and control requirements while ensuring compliance with the United States (US) National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
