Kuala lumpur: Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd has approved the voluntary withdrawal of Kuchai Development Bhd (KDB) from the Main Market list with effect from Jan 22, 2026. The property developer announced in a Bursa Malaysia filing that Bursa Securities had communicated, via a letter dated Jan 19, 2026, that pursuant to Paragraph 16.06 of the listing requirements, the entire issued share capital of KDB would be removed from the official list of Bursa Securities.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the company had proposed on Sept 23, 2025, to undertake the delisting by submitting an application to Bursa Securities in compliance with Paragraph 16.08 of the listing requirements. This move necessitates the approval of at least 75 per cent of shareholders present and voting at the upcoming extraordinary general meeting, with a stipulation that no more than 10 per cent oppose the decision.
