KPN Allocates RM500,000 for Kampung Panggas Kecil Development Under MADANI Initiative

Chuping:The Ministry of National Unity (KPN) has allocated RM500,000 this year to upgrade infrastructure and improve facilities in Kampung Panggas Kecil, Chuping. This allocation is part of the MADANI Adopted Village initiative aimed at enhancing local infrastructure and the well-being of residents.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, KPN secretary-general Datuk Haslina Abdul Hamid stated that the allocation covers six main development components. These include upgrading the village surau with roof replacement, structural improvements, toilet repairs, and the installation of new electrical wiring, air-conditioning, and audio-visual systems.

The projects also involve constructing an open hall equipped with a storeroom and cooking facilities for community activities, as well as repairing fences and building a storage cabin. Upgrades to storerooms at the upper and lower village cemeteries are also planned.

A cabin for the Voluntary Patrol Scheme (SRS) is being provided, and four selected asnaf households will receive home repairs to enhance their living conditions. In collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP)'s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Centre, 40 solar lights with poles have been installed to improve safety and facilities for the community.

Haslina noted that this year's initiative adopts a new strategy, partnering with UniMAP to execute physical development projects in the village. The On-the-Job Training (OJT) approach leverages the expertise of UniMAP lecturers and students in technical, engineering, and TVET fields. This collaboration is seen as a form of social innovation and cross-agency governance aimed at fortifying the country's TVET agenda.
