KPKT Introduces 122 Action Plans for 2025: Nga

Kuala Lumpur: The Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) has laid out 122 action plans to be executed this year, as announced by Minister Nga Kor Ming. Among the primary initiatives are the amendment of laws related to community service sentences for minor offences like littering, the introduction of the Urban Renewal Bill, and the training of more skilled subject experts.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nga highlighted last week that the KPKT Institute (IKPKT) formalized a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with three universities, including Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), to improve the management system. This collaboration aims to bolster the initiatives’ success through strategic planning, efficient execution, and effective communication.

Nga further emphasized the importance of honesty and sincerity in fulfilling the responsibilities assigned to public servants. He stated that confronting and correcting wrongdoings is a shared duty. Nga acknowledged his awareness of the possibility of errors, even in his ministerial role, and welcomed constructive criticism for the common good.

In his earlier remarks, Nga reaffirmed the ministry’s dedication to attaining excellence in 2025 by adopting the Greater HEIGHTS concept. This concept is intended to inspire KPKT staff to overcome challenges and provide outstanding services to the public. The Greater HEIGHTS values include Humility, Ethics, Integrity, Gung-ho, Honesty, Teamwork, and Success.
