Yeosu:National men's doubles pair Man Wei Chong and Tee Kai Wun were eliminated from the Korea Open after losing to South Korea’s world No. 1 duo Kim Won Ho and Seo Seung Jae in the semi-finals.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the third-seeded Malaysian team, ranked world No. 9, was defeated 17-21, 17-21 in a 39-minute match at Jinnam Stadium.
This loss marks the seventh consecutive defeat for Wei Chong and Kai Wun against the top-seeded Korean pair, beginning with their first meeting at the Orleans Masters 2025. The Malaysian duo also faced defeats against the Koreans at several prestigious tournaments, including the Japan Open 2025, World Championships 2025, French Open 2025, BWF World Tour Finals 2025, and Malaysia Open 2026.
