Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures experienced a positive opening on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives on Monday, reflecting the performance of the underlying cash market.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the futures for June 2026 and September 2026 increased by six points, reaching 1,695.50 and 1,678.50, respectively. Meanwhile, July 2026 witnessed an improvement of 5.5 points, rising to 1,697.5, and December 2026 saw an increment of four points, reaching 1,677.0.

The turnover for the session stood at 1,742 lots, with open interest totaling 28,133 contracts. By 9.52 am, the benchmark index had advanced by 11.78 points to 1,695.41, compared to Friday's closing figure of 1,683.63.
