Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher despite a weaker performance in the cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the June 2026 contract gained 3.5 points to 1,671.5. Both the July 2026 and December 2026 contracts saw increases of 6.5 points, reaching 1,676.0 and 1,659.5, respectively. The September 2026 contract experienced a rise of 8.5 points, closing at 1,658.5.
Turnover decreased to 30,793 lots from 60,218 lots last Friday, while open interest contracted to 62,025 contracts from the previous 93,884 contracts. At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI eased by 1.83 points, settling at 1,665.91 compared to Friday's close of 1,667.74.
