Kuala lumpur: FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts opened firmer on Friday, tracking gains in the underlying cash market. At 9.16 am, the December 2025 contract gained 8.5 points to 1,655.0. Meanwhile, the January and June 2026 contracts rose eight points to 1,658.50 and 1,644.0, respectively. The March 2026 contract added six points to 1,641.0.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the turnover stood at 1,868 lots, with open interest at 39,190 contracts. The benchmark FBM KLCI increased 4.88 points to 1,651.78 after 35 minutes of trading, compared with Thursday's close of 1,646.90.
