Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Monday in line with the cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the July 2026 contract and December 2026 contract gained 18 points each to 1,720.0 and 1,702.5, and August 2026 as well as September 2026 contracts added 17.5 points each to 1,720.0 and 1,699.5.
Turnover experienced an increase, reaching 16,388 lots compared with 11,798 on Friday. Open interest also saw a rise, moving to 55,662 contracts from 51,094 previously.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI reported a jump of 12.07 points to 1,713.09 from last Friday's close of 1,701.02, reflecting a positive trend in the market.
