Kuala lumpur: FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives concluded the trading session lower, reflecting a downturn in the underlying cash market.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the April 2026 contract experienced a decline of 7.5 points, closing at 1,679.50. Both the May 2026 and September 2026 contracts saw a decrease of 8.0 points, closing at 1,680.0 and 1,660.0, respectively. The June 2026 contract decreased by 6.5 points, ending at 1,661.0.
The trading activity showed an increase in turnover, which rose to 10,119 lots compared to 8,207 lots on the previous day, while open interest expanded to 42,227 contracts from 40,729. At the close of trading, the FBM KLCI index had decreased by 4.70 points, or 0.28 percent, to 1,683.42 from the previous day's close of 1,688.12.
