Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives concluded trading with mixed outcomes on Tuesday.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the September 2026 contract experienced a decline of 16 points, closing at 1,671.00. Similarly, the December 2026 contract saw a decrease of 11 points, settling at 1,681.5. The October 2026 contract also shed 6.0 points, ending at 1,680.5. However, the March 2027 contract bucked the trend, adding 9.0 points to close at 1,686.0.
Market activity saw an increase, with turnover rising to 6,573 lots from the previous 4,112 lots. Open interest also showed an upward trend, climbing to 44,267 contracts from 42,025 contracts previously. By 5 pm, the FBM KLCI index had eased marginally by 0.39 of a point, ending at 1,714.40 compared to Monday's closing of 1,714.79.
