Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures experienced a downturn on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives as they closed lower on Tuesday, mirroring the performance of the underlying cash market. At the close, the January 2026 and March 2026 contracts saw a decline of 9.5 points each, settling at 1,674.0 and 1,659.0, respectively. Meanwhile, the February 2026 contract dropped by 10.5 points to 1,677.05, and the June 2026 contract decreased by 6.5 points to 1,664.0.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, turnover also saw a reduction, falling to 6,899 lots compared to 7,904 lots on the previous day. Additionally, open interest saw a decline, dropping to 40,130 contracts from 40,750 contracts recorded on Monday.
By 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) had decreased by 7.97 points, reaching 1,672.35, down from Monday’s close of 1,680.32.
