KLCI Futures Opens Lower as Cash Market Shows Decline

Kuala lumpur: FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened lower on Monday, reflecting losses in the underlying cash market. At 9.18 am, the spot month August 2025 fell 10.0 points to 1,519.0. September 2025 and December 2025 each lost 9.5 points to 1,499.50 and 1,500.0 respectively, while March 2026 shed 6.5 points to 1,491.0.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the turnover for the futures stood at 1,107 lots, with open interest totaling 37,150 contracts. The benchmark FBM KLCI was 9.50 points lower at 1,523.85 after 38 minutes of trading, compared with last Friday’s close of 1,533.35.
