Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives showed varied movements in early trade on Monday. At 9.33 am, the August 2026 contract remained steady at 1,732.5. Meanwhile, the September 2026 and December 2026 contracts each saw a slight increase of 0.5 point, reaching 1,711 and 1,714.5, respectively. In contrast, the March 2027 contract experienced a decline, dropping 11.5 points to settle at 1,702.5.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the turnover during this period was recorded at 1,893 lots, with open interest totaling 42,715 contracts. Earlier, at 9.07 am, the FBM KLCI index itself had slipped by 4.56 points, moving down to 1,720.34 from the previous close of 1,724.90 on Friday.
